Blague #02: And We're Off!!

Saturday, May 18th

Today was finally the day! After waking up and getting breakfast, we all met for class for a couple hours in the morning. In Dr. O’Keefe’s class, The Art of Estrangement, we talked about using objective language to describe settings and objects, and took a few minutes to practice by spreading out throughout the hotel and writing about something that spoke to us. We then talked about logical and personal connections that humans automatically make when out in unfamiliar and familiar situations. 

After class, we took a small lunch break and a chance to really take in the trip we are embarking on. At least for me, and I am sure for some others, it hadn’t completely hit me until this morning that we were really going to be spending a month in Prague. The closer we got to the gate, the more excited I got. 

We had no problems getting to and through the airport. We took the airtrain to our terminal where we checked our bags and went through security. We boarded the plane, and in no time, we were in the skies. Many of us watched movies, read, played games, got some much needed sleep, and talked about our nerves and excitement for out upcoming time in Prague.

In the morning, (or night in the US,) we will be landing in Dublin for a 3 hour layover before making the final leg to our new home-away-from-home.
