Our first full day in Prague began bright and early with all of us honors students meeting our professors and our lovely hosts from CET outside of our apartment. We walked from the apartment to the nearest tram stop, where we dove into the exciting (and a little stressful) task of learning how to navigate the tram system. Two trams and a short walk later, we arrived at the CET building - our academic home for the next month! After a brief tour of the building, we headed to one of the upstairs classrooms for our orientation meeting, where we found a delightful spread of breakfast treats waiting for us! Thanks, CET!
After a super informative orientation session, we were released for a brief lunch break. The students wandered along the nearby streets in search of the perfect spot to eat. I, along with some friends, found myself in Bageterie Boulevard! Once we finished eating, we made our way back to CET, taking in the beautiful streets of Prague as we walked.

We met our professors and hosts once again, this time to head to the tram stop to begin our journey to Pražský Hrad (also known as Prague Castle)! Upon arrival, we met our lovely tour guides, who led us on a fabulous tour of Prague Castle and Malá Strana! We saw the St. Vitus Cathedral, the Charles Bridge, the peacock garden, the palace, a stunning view of the city from above, and many other incredible sights!

After we said farewell to our amazing tour guides, we had the rest of the afternoon and evening to explore! We scattered all around the city, discovering cool restaurants, unique museums, adorable shops, and beautiful sights. Some of my personal favorite spots were Kampa Park and the White Horse Restaurant! After a wonderful stroll around the city of Prague to take in the views and a bit of the night life, we headed back to our apartments to get some much needed sleep!
Overall, it was an incredible first day of classes and first tour of the city! We can’t wait to see more of it!
