Today was a free day! I decided to use this day to explore Prague and what it offers for the first time. I began the day by heading to the wonderful bakery two doors down from our building, where I got a chocolate pastry. On the way back to my room, I ran into Jacqueline Frate! We decided to go for a long walk wandering around our apartments and stumbled upon this neat path that follows a creek for at least a mile.

After returning from our walk, I ventured into the city to explore the “Lesser” town beneath the castle and old town square. I started by crossing Charles Bridge to get to Lesser town while it was pouring rain, and ended up taking refuge in a chimney cake show where I tried a Chimney cake for the first time! It was delicious!

Then I shopped a little and got some souvenirs for family and friends before heading to the old town square to see the clock chime for 17:00. There was live music and many people out as the rain had finally passed, making for a very energetic and lively environment. I then returned to the apartment to enjoy a wonderful dinner with Lili, Cailee, Tessa, Emily, and Lauren. Then, Jay Putnam, Lili, Cailee, Tessa, Emily, and I all went to get ice cream and saw a short play about King John, Shakespeare’s infamously worst play.

By then, the day had passed, and I had amassed over 20,000 steps! We will make the trip to Brno tomorrow, so I hope I can relax on the bus before another busy day!
