Hi everyone!! The second-to-last day of classes was today! Our class period ran from around 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., during which we addressed our last assignment, which involved reflecting on a previous video project. One of the CET employees works in each class, organizing all of our activities around our lessons. Simona is in charge of Place and Space, and Barbara is in charge of the Art of Estrangement. Earlier in the week, we learned that today was Simona’s birthday, and we wanted to surprise her with gifts after class. We all gathered on the top floor and pretended like one of the projectors was not working, so we could grab Simona to “fix it.” Once Simona walked in, everyone started singing Happy Birthday to her. After the surprise, my friends and I grabbed something quick for lunch since the Space and Place class had to return at CET at 12:20 pm and the Art of Estrangement had to return at 1:15 pm. Some friends went to McDonald's to eat with us at Baggetrie Boulevard.

At 1:15 pm, my class and Barbara headed over to the DOX Contemporary Art Gallery; specifically, it was a KAFKAesque exhibition. In our class, we are reading short parables by Franz Kafka, and this museum reflects on Kafka's work and poetics through contemporary art. The tour began with a stop in this Blimp called the Gulliver Airship, located on the roof of the gallery. It is a place of imagination and fantasy to be on an airship. This is a place where stories are told and shared. There were so many things I loved about the gallery, but I think the Airship was my favorite. Then we continued our guided tour through the two different galleries.

After the guided tour, we all went back to CET to grab our belongings and go back to our apartments. Jay and Stacy were at the Sunset Cinema with me and my friends to watch The Proposal. The Proposal is one of my favorite movies, and I loved watching it with my friends! It was a beautiful spot and had such an amazing environment. You could play games before or after the movie, like Big Jenga, cornhole, basketball, and more! The seating options were beach chairs, bean bags, or bed-like bean bags. I may have just found my new favorite Prague memory and spot.

All in all, it was an amazing day spent with friends and teachers!!
